GFD Responds to Structure Fire on Friday Afternoon

At approximately 2:52 p.m. on Friday, the Goldsboro Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 104 Hilda Place.

Engines 2,3,4 and 5, Tower 1, Battalion 1, and three staff members responded with 19 personnel.

Crews arrived to find a double-wide trailer with flames showing from the front.

Firefighters pulled attack lines and quickly extinguished the fire. Seven people have been displaced — two adults and five children. The Red Cross is assisting the family.

The cause of the fire was determined to be set by a minor on the scene.
