United Way Volunteer Fair Being Held on Thursday

The United Way of Wayne County’s annual Volunteer Fair is returning to the Maxwell Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.

The volunteer fair provides a platform for local nonprofits to increase public awareness about their missions and offers individuals the chance to explore various volunteer opportunities within the community.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Volunteer Fair for its fourth year,” said Sherry Archibald, United Way of Wayne County Executive Director. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community members to connect with local nonprofits and make a difference. Volunteering not only supports the organizations but also strengthens our
community bonds.”

United Way of Wayne County invites local businesses, schools, and civic organizations to send their employees, students, and members to meet local nonprofit operators and discover various ways to serve the community.

The Volunteer Fair is supported by a grant from AmeriCorps Volunteer Generation Fund through Volunteer NC in the office of Governor Roy Cooper.
