The Goldsboro/Wayne County Homeowners Coalition along with Rebuilding Broken Places CDC is hosting a grant orientation session at 6 p.m. on Thursday at 2105 N. William Street.
The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency announced the Homeownership Assistance Program on Aug. 19. The Homeownership Assistance Program includes grant monies for potential homebuyers to assist with home down payments between $20,000 and $30,000 and closing costs at 5%.
Approximately $2.2 million is still available for qualifying homeowners who reside in 16 storm-affected counties. Wayne County is one of these counties. All home styles are eligible.
