While kicking off the weekend of the NC Freedom Fest, the United Way of Wayne County will also officially kick off the 2024 Community Campaign during the annual Taste of Wayne event at 5 p.m. on Thursday at The Hub in downtown Goldsboro.

For five years, the United Way of Wayne County truly benefited from the support, talents, and connections of Bethany Perry, as Campaign Chair.

This year, Perry is passing the “Pompoms” on to another community leader, Selena Worrell.

Worrell, the Vice President of Operations of Worrell Contracting, will officially step into the role at Taste of Wayne as she announces the details of the campaign.

Tickets for Taste of Wayne can be purchased in advance for $15.00 by visiting unitedwayne.org/taste-of-wayne. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the event for $20.00.
