On Saturday at approximately 5:05 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of E. Elm Street.

Once on the scene, they located a male subject, Kelvin James, 35, who had been shot in the lower extremity.

James was transported to UNC Health Wayne and then to ECU Health in Greenville.

No additional information will be released at this time.
