Reverend John L. Harrington, 77, was called home to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:30 am with a viewing from 10:30 am to 11:15 am at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 601 W. Elm Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

He was born on November 20, 1946, in Wayne County, NC to Neil Harrington Jr. and Catherine Pipkin Harrington. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Florahette Pridgen Harrington, his children, siblings, and other loving relatives and friends.
