Bobby Ray Adams, 70, was welcomed to life eternal on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, while surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was born in Geneva, New York to the late Beulah and Billy Adams on August 16, 1954.

Growing up in Wayne County, Bobby attended Rosewood High School. He was inducted into the Rosewood Athletics Hall of Fame for baseball. Upon graduation, Bobby continued his education at East Carolina University.

Bobby was the Vice President of Operations at Neil Medical Group in Kinston, NC where he retired after 31 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed serving as Vice President for the South Eastern Seniors Golf Association.

Bobby was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church. He served on various committees within the church, and most recently served as church treasurer. Attending Methodist Men meetings, the New Horizon Sunday School class, and worship services were all commitments that Bobby held strongly.

Appreciating the simple pleasures of life, Bobby spent much time in his yard. Cutting the grass and making sure everything looked just right, he enjoyed a well-manicured lawn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Pine Forest Methodist Church followed by a service to celebrate Bobby’s life at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Rev. Tabitha Pate presiding. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Crawford Adams; daughter, Carrie Adams Woolard and husband, Skyler; brother, Steve Adams and wife, Michelle; and sister, Cathy Marlow and husband, Jeff.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to Pine Forest Methodist Church or Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
