William Thad Deans, 92, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Avendelle Assisted Living in Garner. Born on November 9, 1931, in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Claude Deans and Emma Joyner Deans.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to celebrate William’s life will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Martinmianakis officiating. Interment will conclude at Kenly Cemetery.

William is survived by his daughters, Susan Deans (David Moss) and Sandra Deans; and his granddaughter, Amanda Royal(Matt).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Ruby Lee Askew Deans, brothers, Tom Deans, Bert Deans, and Melvin Deans; and his sister, Laurene Flowers.

In lieu of flowers, his daughters and granddaughter ask that in his memory you extend a comforting hand to someone in need.
