Daniel Owen Flint passed away at home on Friday, October 11, 2024. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2020. Daniel was born in West Virginia and moved to North Carolina in 1989 along with his wife and two sons. He was born to the late Donald and Jean Flint.

Daniel served in the Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War.

Daniel was a hard worker whose passion was welding. He retired from Carolina Handling in 2016.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Betty Davis Flint; three children, Jennifer Cox and husband, Doug, Matthew Flint, and Samuel Flint and wife, Terry; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, three siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
