Judy Wiggins Stafford Anderson

October 13, 2024, 77, La Grange —

May 23, 1947 – October 13, 2024

Judy Wiggins Stafford Anderson, 77, answered the Lord’s call and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Judy was born in Lenoir County to the late Walker Vinson Wiggins and Gay Moye Wiggins on May 23, 1947. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John “Johnny” Baptist Stafford, Jr.; a son, John Baptist Stafford, III; and her siblings, William Moye, Ken Wiggins, Jim Wiggins, Gene Wiggins, Gus Wiggins, Doris Skinner, Rose Hart, Linda Smith, and Kathy Hill.

Judy’s love of gardening was complemented well with her green thumb. Anything she wanted to grow seemed to grow in abundance and was always beautiful. Enjoying time on her back porch rocking chair and swing, she embraced the various sights found in God’s creation.

For Judy, she was absolutely content staying at home as long as she had family close by. Known to her grandchildren as Grandma Judy, she looked forward to each opportunity to visit with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always welcoming those who came to visit, she believed any time with family was time well spent. Judy’s love for her animals was just as strong, for her two cats and two dogs were loved just as well.

With a great love for her Lord, Judy was a constant presence in her congregation at La Grange Church of God. Participating in ministry there for as long as she was able, she was invested in spreading the love of God to all she met.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Arnold Ball officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Judy is survived by her husband, Aubrey Anderson; son, John Lee Anderson, and wife, Karen; special grandson of the home, Lucas Potter; grandchildren, Laura Ellen Stroud and husband, Coty, John William “Will” Stafford and wife, Paige, and Justin Lee Anderson; great-grandchildren, Ada Stroud, Ivy Stafford, and Johnnie Stafford; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
