MOUNT OLIVE — Over 800 third-grade students will celebrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) during the University of Mount Olive’s seventh annual STEM on the Green from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
STEM on the Green is an immersive, hands-on educational event aimed at third-graders from Wayne and Duplin Counties.

Carver Elementary
Fremont Elementary
Tommy’s Road Elementary
Northwest Elementary
Rosewood Elementary
North Duplin Elementary
Warsaw Elementary
Kenansville Elementary
BF Grady Elementary
STEM on the Green will feature 36 STEM demonstrations and activities including rocket launches, the UMO Flight School, the WNCT Weather Van, the Mount Olive Volunteer Fire Department, and a K-9 demonstration.
