WCC’s Guzmán Selected for Leadership North Carolina Cohort

Wayne Community College Small Business Center Director Esteban Guzmán has been selected to join the 2024–2025 class of Leadership North Carolina’s acclaimed Core Program.

Leadership North Carolina is the state’s premier leadership deployment program. Members of its cohorts are chosen through a rigorous selection process and are top established and emerging leaders from the government, business, nonprofit, and education sectors.

Guzmán is one of 56 civic and community leaders from across the state who are part of the 32nd class of Leadership North Carolina. Participants will gain new insight into NC’s strengths and challenges and explore opportunities for how they will improve and empower their communities and the state as a whole.

Over the next seven months, participants will engage in sessions held around the state to learn about critical issues through discussions with top officials and professionals, field trips, and experiential learning activities.

The program’s sessions focus on six key areas: economic development, education, environment, government, health and human services, and inclusive leadership.

The full roster of the current cohort’s members can be found here.
