November 5, 2024, 67, Kenly —

Ricky Wade Godwin, 67, of Kenly, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  He was born in Johnston County on July 11, 1957, to Betty Lou Barber Godwin and the late Ernest Wade Godwin.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Jeffery Godwin.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cockrell Godwin; mother, Betty Lou Barber Godwin; son, Johnathan Narron; brother, Jesse Godwin (Shiela); sisters, Patricia Helms (Harold), Jennifer Narron; and granddaughter Laura Jean Narron.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Community Fellowship Methodist Church, 5755 Rains Crossroads Rd, Princeton, N.C. 2742. 

The funeral service will follow at the church immediately following the visitation.
