Aaron Gay Ginn, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Born in Wayne County on April 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Lonnie Jackson Ginn and Neta Lee Pike Ginn.
In addition to his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by his wife, Macy Jones Ginn; daughter, Sharon Ginn Duren; and granddaughter, Blair Long.
Aaron is survived by his daughters, Melinda Ginn Friese and Gay Ginn Long; grandchildren, Brandon Duren, Lee Gray, and Dana Raper; siblings, Betty Ginn Tillman (Tommy), Alice Ginn Banks, Louella Ginn Blalock, Dollie Ginn Davis Bryant (Marvin), and O’Neal Ginn; and several nieces and nephews.
Aaron proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for many years as a salesman with various companies.
A graveside service to celebrate Aaron’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Silas Pike Cemetery on Big Daddy’s Road in Pikeville. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
