Five Guys Cuts Ribbon on Berkeley Boulevard Location

Five Guys, Goldsboro’s newest restaurant, officially cut the ribbon on its location at 602B N. Berkeley Blvd on Tuesday morning.

Hosted by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and the new location’s ownership and management team, Tuesday’s event followed Monday’s soft opening.

During the ribbon cutting, Five Guys presented a check for $2,500 to the Wayne County Veterans and Patriots Coalition.

“Many of the communities that we deal with are military communities and are great for Five Guys,” said co-owner Jeff Steiner. “I think from the employment standpoint we like the ability to be able to hire those folks, and we tend to be in more rural counties, so we like the economics. We’re thankful for the support from the community that we’ve received and we’re excited to be here.

Steiner, the former General Manager and Executive Vice President of Dale Earnhardt Inc. is the CEO of Life’s Food, a Five Guys Franchisee.

The Goldsboro location is the 26th Five Guys store Steiner and his wife Chris have opened.

A grand opening is being held on Saturday and will include a live broadcast throughout the lunch hour from 98.3 WGBR on-air personality Jeff Farrow.

A prize wheel will offer the chance to win gift cards and exclusive Five Guys apparel and accessories.

Customers are also invited to try the new Five Guys’ Candy Cane Crunch Shake, the first-ever limited-edition milkshake available for the holiday season.

To celebrate the first-ever Five Guys in Wayne County, the first 20 customers in line will receive free Five Guys burgers for a year.
