Edith Briscoe Balazsi, 95, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on September 9, 1929, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Evan Briscoe and Frances Ballance Briscoe.

A graveside service to honor Edith’s life will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Roger Banks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Edith is survived by her son, Joe Balazsi, and wife, JoAnn, her daughter-in-law, Brenda Balazsi; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Julian, Jimmy, and Evan Balazsi.
