The 2024 Goldsboro Christmas Parade will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday in Downtown Goldsboro.
The parade will begin at Center Street and Spruce Street and travel north to Ash Street, where it will turn south and travel south on Center Street and back to Spruce Street.
For the safety of the attendees and participants, traffic patterns and parking have been altered for this year’s parade. These changes have been made with the public’s safety in mind. Parade spectators are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
Officers of the Goldsboro Police Department will be on hand along the parade route and surrounding area to ensure a safe, secure event. Please note the following:
Parking Restrictions
- All parking on Center Street between Ash Street and Elm Street is prohibited, beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until the conclusion of the parade.
- All vehicles parked on Center Street after 1 p.m. are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.
- On-street parallel parking is available along other streets in the downtown area.
- Freedom Field – open to public parking beginning at 2 p.m.
- Spectators should enter Freedom Field from the 200 block of S James Street and follow the directions of volunteers staffing the lot
- In addition to Freedom Field and on-street parking, the following parking lots are available for public parking in the downtown area:
- John Street parking lot – accessible from the 100 block N. John Street
- Reserved for Handicapped Parking
- Bank parking lots north of Ash Street at N. John Street and N. William Street
- B&G Grill – accessible from the 200 block of N. John Street
- First Citizens Bank – accessible from the 200 block of N. John Street and 200 block of E. Mulberry Street
- Everette, Womble & Lawrence Law Office – accessible from the 200 block of N. William Street
- US Post Office – accessible from the 300 block E. Mulberry Street
- Former bank parking lot – accessible from the 100 block of N. James Street
- Wayne County Offices/The Betterment Center – accessible from the 100 block of N. John Street and the 200 block of E. Mulberry Street
- Wayne County Museum – accessible from the 100 block of N William Street
- DSS parking lot – accessible from the 100 block of S. James Street and the 200 block of W. Chestnut Street
- Wayne County Courthouse parking lot – accessible from the 100 block of S. William Street
- St. Paul Church – accessible from the 200 block of S. John Street
- Sheriff’s Office/Juvenile Justice parking lots – accessible from the 200 block of W. Chestnut Street and the 200 block of S. William Street
- HUB parking area – accessible from the 100 block of E. Chestnut Street
- Goldsboro Pediatric Dentistry – accessible from the 100 block of E. Pine Street
- John Street parking lot – accessible from the 100 block N. John Street
- No public parking is available
- In designated areas at the Goldsboro Public Safety Complex
- Firehouse Event Venue (109 E. Ash St.)
- StageStruck Theatre parking lot (100 block of W. Chestnut Street)
- Center Street between Ash and Elm streets will be closed to traffic and parking beginning at 1 p.m. until the completion of the parade.
- All vehicles parked on Center Street after 1 p.m. are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.
- Ash Street between James and William streets will be closed to through traffic beginning at 4 p.m. until the end of the parade clears Ash Street.
- The following streets between James Street and John Street will also be closed to traffic beginning at 3:30 p.m. until the completion of the parade.
- Mulberry Street
- Walnut Street
- Chestnut Street
- Spruce Street
- Pine Street
- Elm Street and Royall Avenue should be considered as alternate routes if traveling east or west in the downtown area.
- George Street and William Street should be considered as alternate routes if traveling north or south in the downtown area.
