Charles Dwight Edwards, 63, of Goldsboro, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.  He was born in Wilson County on November 16, 1961, to the late Charles Franklin Edwards and Annie Lorene Johnson Edwards.

Mr. Edwards had a passion for cooking and he was a devoted fan of George Jones.  Watching “Lifetime shows and movies was one of his favorite pastimes.  He enjoyed telling jokes and bringing joy and laughter to a room sharing it with everyone.  His canine friends “Buddy” and “Sandy” were very special to him.  Loving his family was so precious to him.  Most of all, serving his Lord Jesus Christ was the most important of all.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Toole Edwards; sons, Michael Edwards of Kenly, Blake Fields (Angel) of Princeton, and Cody Boyatt (Sarah) of Smithfield; daughters, Candace Snyder (Jeremy) of Lucama, and Amber Beverly (Aaron) of Reidsville; five grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Edwards (Dianna) of Carbondale, Pa, Curtis Edwards of Benson; sister Charla Register (B.J.) of Sampson County and his canine friends, “Buddy” and “Sandy”.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

The funeral will be held in the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 12 pm with the Rev. Tim Hooks & Rev. Larry Hunt officiating.  The committal will be held immediately following the funeral at Dean’s Cemetery, Bizzell Grove Church Rd, Princeton, N.C.
