Grace Jones Pearce, 81, of Princeton went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 29, 2024, at her home. She was born on July 17, 1943, in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Clyde Wesley Jones and Mary Geneva Brooks Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Jones Hollowell, and brothers, Kenneth “Deacon” Jones and Steve Wesley Jones.
Grace was a long-time member of the Princeton Church where she served in the nursery for many years and also was a member of the choir. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend and sister-in-law, Faye Jones. Grace loved to go and listen to Southern Gospel Music, especially the Social Security Boys. Grace and Frank, her husband of 58 years, provided an example of a Godly marriage and Christian home for their children and grandchildren. Her family was so very important to her. Christmas was her favorite time of year where she showered her entire family with abundant love and with gifts. Most of all Grace loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Pearce; daughter, Angie Pearce Proctor, and husband, Bruce of Pikeville; son, Jim Pearce, and wife, Jeanne of Princeton; grandchildren, Jared Pearce and wife, Baylee; Maryssa Worley and husband, Ryan; Madelyn Proctor; Ian Speight and wife, Kelsey; and Noah Speight and wife, Michaela; sister, Frances Roberts of Hiddenite; sisters-in-law, Faye Jones and Paula Jones; special nieces and nephews, Kathi Jones, Ken and Donna Jones, Dale and Lisa Jones, Tina Jones Winborne, Keith and Lisa Roberts, Danny Ray Roberts, Sandra Roberts, and Stefanie and Jason Patel; and many special friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Princeton Church. The funeral will follow at the church beginning at 7:00 pm officiated by Pastor Matthew Cornett. A graveside service will be held at Princeton Cemetery at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
