The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is accepting award nominations for its annual dinner, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Jan. 17 at the Maxwell Center.

The awards that will be presented at the annual dinner include:
Small Business of The Year
The “Small Business of The Year” award recognizes the business that has made the biggest impact in Wayne County this year! The winner exemplifies strong leadership, resilience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products or services, making it a standout example of success in the small business sector.
New Business of The Year
The “New Business of The Year” award recognizes a company that has demonstrated exceptional growth, innovation, and impact in its first year of operation.
Community Effort of The Year
The “Community Effort of The Year” award honors an individual, group, or organization that has made a significant, positive impact on their community through outstanding initiatives, volunteer work, or collaborative projects.
Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award
The Duke Energy “Citizenship and Service” award is a tribute to individuals or groups who make a difference in their communities or places of work by using their time, talents, and compassion to positively impact the lives of others.
Ollie Toomey Volunteer of The Year Award
The “Ollie Toomey Volunteer of The Year” award recognizes an outstanding individual who has generously dedicated their time, energy, and expertise to support the mission and initiatives of the Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber Under 40 Award
The “Chamber Under 40 Award” celebrates a young professional under the age of 40 who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to their community and career.
The Cornerstone Award
The “Cornerstone” award is a lifelong achievement award that is presented to an individual, that has committed their all, in service for the betterment of Wayne County, has rendered outstanding service for Wayne County and demonstrated extraordinary effort and dedicated commitment to the principles of growth and expansion through dynamic leadership and whose attitude and example set the standard for our community.
