Beginning in January, Wayne Community College will be accepting donations to send to Blue Ridge Community College to continue providing assistance after Hurricane Helene’s impact on western North Carolina.
As part of Wayne Community College’s “Warmth for the West” campaign, it is collecting new cold-weather items to help individuals stay warm this winter.
Items that can be donated are:
– Coats
– Socks
– Gloves
– Blankets
– Thermal Underwear
– Hats
– Hand Warmers
Donations will be accepted from Jan. 2 to Jan. 30 and may be dropped off on the first floor of the Wayne Learning Center, as well as the Spruce, Pine, Dogwood, and Walnut buildings on the Wayne Community College campus.
