Betty Creech Price, 86, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab. Betty was born in Johnston County on May 2, 1938, to the late William Arnold Creech and Mary Nancy Creech. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ralph LeCurtis “Curtis” Price; sisters, Yvonne Moore, Peggy Narron, and Delia Ballance; and brothers, William Garland Creech, Ruben Creech, and Joseph Arnold Creech.

Retiring from Cherry Hospital, Betty spent many years as a housekeeping administrator to the healthcare community and the patients she served.

As a long-time member of Rosewood First Baptist Church, Betty worshipped faithfully and served as a member and teacher in the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She offered her service in many ways for as long as her health allowed.

With great love for her family, Betty spent as much time with them as possible. She always enjoyed time at the lake with each of them. Her love for family knew no bounds.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church, followed by a service to celebrate Betty’s life in the sanctuary with Dr. Tim Lipp and Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Betty is survived by her sons, Tim Price and wife, Pam of Goldsboro, and Greg Price of Charlotte; grandchildren, Brandon Jones (Michelle), Timothy Price, Jr. (Kyle), Jessica Price (Sidney), Rebecca Walker (Matt), Lexy Price, Adam Price, and Lilly Price; and great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Tyler, Xara, Luna, Summer and Jack. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Wayne Creech of Selma.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Betty’s memory to Rosewood First Baptist Church, 562 NC Hwy 581 South, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
