On Tuesday at approximately 12:07 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a call in the 900 block of Slaughter Street about a ShotSpotter alert for five rounds.
After arriving on the scene, it was determined gunshots had been fired during a domestic disturbance.
The gunshots struck a vehicle occupied by a 29-year-old female and two children. The two children are ages 4 and 2.
During the investigation, Alan Miller Jr., 40, was identified as the suspect.
On Wednesday, Miller was arrested without incident in the 900 block of Slaughter Street by the Special Enforcement Unit.
Miller is being charged with the following:
Attempted First Degree Murder (F) (3 counts)
Discharge Weapon Occupied Moving Vehicle (F) (5 counts)
Negligent Child Abuse – Serious Physical Injury (F) (2 counts)
Assault on a Female (M)
Discharge Firearm in City (M)
