Hazel Eloise Massengill Parker, 94, passed away at Clayton Rehab Center on Monday, December 23, 2024. Eloise was born in Johnston County on September 30, 1930 to the late Johnnie Wright Massengill and Hettie Yelverton Massengill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Parker; sons, Wayne and Bennie Vick; brother, Glenn Massengill; stepson, James O. Edwards, Jr., and two grandsons, Jimmy Nines and Joshua Edwards; and granddaughter, Trishia White.
She had a heart that cared completely. She had a smile that brought so much pleasure. She had a love that brought joy beyond measure.
Eloise is survived by daughters, Bonnie Mitchell and husband, Lonnie of Middlesex, and Ann Cooke and Ken Halbrook of Smithfield; son, Thomas Ricky Vic,k and wife, Michelle of Archer, Florida; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
The funeral service will be held at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Reverend Randy Phillips and Reverend Jim Hare officiating. Committal will be in the Massengill Cemetery immediately following the service.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice Care, 208 Butternut Lane, Clayton, NC 27520.
