Kenneth Clyde Tilton

December 23, 2024, 59, Goldsboro —

Kenneth Clyde Tilton entered his eternal home on Monday, December 23, 2024. Due to declining health, Ken resided at Genesis Health Care, Mount Olive Center for the past five years. Ken was born on May 4, 1965, at Wayne Memorial Hospital to the late Clyde and Mary Ruth Tilton.

Ken was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School. He later attended Wayne Community College and East Carolina University. Ken enjoyed his dogs, music (the biggest Rush fan to ever live), reading, computer games, and UNC Chapel Hill sports, especially men’s basketball.

Ken used Facebook to give a game review and his opinion. He was a gifted writer with his work being enjoyed by family and friends. However, his favorite pastime was laughing with people. Ken enjoyed all people and with his infectious smile and bright eyes making new friends was easy for him. He had a personality and view of life that we should all aspire to have.

Ken is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Walter Kennedy; nieces, Mary Margaret Harper and Anna Walters (George); and great nieces and nephews, Katherine Harper, Margaret Walters, Perry Walters, and Davis Walters. He is also survived by several cousins he loved very much.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Ken’s life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ken’s memory to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
