On Saturday, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a reported vehicle break-in that had just occurred in the area of Old Mount Olive Hwy and Southern Plaza.
A description of the suspect was given, describing a black male wearing a gray jacket.
Deputies quickly responded to the area and, upon arriving, observed a male walking on the roadway that matched the description.
Deputies made contact with the described male while other deputies also spoke with the victims.
The victims reported stolen items to deputies, and the reported stolen property was found in the suspect’s possession.
An additional breaking and entering call for service was reported in the same area, with video footage of the suspect, while the aforementioned investigation was still ongoing by deputies.
The investigation by patrol deputies concluded with the arrest of Amarion Ford, 19, Dudley.
Ford was charged with three counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, misdemeanor possession of stolen property, felony possession of stolen property, and misdemeanor larceny, and he was booked into the Wayne County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
A follow-up of the crime was conducted by door-to-door contact with C-Shift Deputies later that night,
and three more victims were identified by Ford’s criminal activity; Amarion Ford was appropriately
charged with the additional crimes.
