The Wayne County North Carolina Highway Patrol Office is in possession of a found, unclaimed firearm.

The unclaimed firearm, a Polymer80 PF940C 9mm semi-automatic pistol, is not part of any ongoing criminal or civil case.

Potential claimants should contact the North Carolina State Highway Patrol by Feb. 06 at 701 W. Grantham St. or call (919) 344-0225, to make a claim.

Proof of ownership will be required.

At the end of the 30-day period, firearms will be sold or otherwise disposed of according to N.C.G.S 15-11.2.
