William Hunter Weeks, age 80, passed away on Friday, January 3rd at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Truman Weeks and Laura Hunter Weeks and was the husband of 56 years to the late Peggy Taylor Weeks. He was also preceded in death by his brothers James Ray Weeks and Jerry Weeks.
A service to celebrate William’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 7th at 6:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Dail officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Weeks is survived by his daughters, Charla Jones and husband, Curtis, Tracy Taylor and husband, Jason; grandchildren, Matt Jarman and wife, Amanda, Alanna Jones and special friend, Tony, Hunter Weeks Jones, Mary Taylor Jones and Tori Brooke Schaefer and husband, Corbett, and Darian Friend; and great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Madilynn, Emmalynn, Patrick and Elijah. William is also survived by his special friend, Dorothy Burke and his nephews and niece, Mark Smith, Scott Smith and wife, Kimberly, Neil Weeks and wife, Melinda, Terry Wayne Weeks and wife, Trudy and Kim Weeks.
