MOUNT OLIVE — Early Saturday morning firefighters from Mount Olive, Dudley, and Smith Chapel were dispatched to a possible working structure fire in the 1100 block of Country Club Rd. west of Mount Olive.
A fire official arrived on the scene and advised smoke showing from the structure.
Everyone living in the house managed to get out safely.
A Wayne County EMS unit was dispatched to assist the firefighters.
Several attack lines were pulled from the first on-scene engine and a quick knockdown was made on the fire that seemed to be coming from underneath the structure around the heating unit.
Fire units remained on the scene for about an hour making sure the fire was out.
