On Thursday at approximately 12:06 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of W. Ash Street for a welfare check.

When officers arrived, the victim’s daughter advised them that she had not heard from her mother in several days.

Upon entry into the residence officers located Donetta Hill, 62.

Wayne County EMS responded and pronounced Hill deceased.

The medical examiner has deemed that Hill succumbed due to natural causes.

No foul play was involved.
