All Wayne County Public Schools will remain closed on Friday.

Ken Derksen, Executive Director for Community Engagement and Student & Family Support for Wayne County Public Schools, released the following statement on Thursday afternoon: 

“Due to continued icy conditions impacting secondary roadways in some areas of the county, all schools will remain closed for students on Friday. Students will return to school on Monday. For staff, Friday will be an optional workday with a two-hour delay. All staff that report to work should report two-hours later than usual.”
