Mrs. Marian Annette Murray, 81, completed her earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:50am at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street (Hwy 117 Bypass), Goldsboro, NC.

She was born on April 12, 1943 to Lucille Beale and Lamb Whitfield, Sr. in Goldsboro, NC. She is survived by her loving husband, James Murray, Sr.; sons: James F. Murray, Jr. (Dr. Jamila), Bowie, MD and Jamar C. Murray (Cherie), Kissimmee, FL; grandchildren: Sidney Cheyanne Murray and Synai Simone Murray both of Kissimmee, Florida, Jaila Murray and Javon Murray both of Bowie, Maryland; brothers: Duerwood Beale, Philadelphia, PA, Charles Whitfield, Sharpsburg, NC, Stanley Whitfield (Pamela) and Powder Springs, GA; sisters: Carolyn Johnson (Philadelphia, PA), Melinda Lynch (Paul), Karen Whitfield both of Rocky Mount, NC and many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
