Wayne STEM Academy, the area’s only tuition-free, STEM-based charter school, will be accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year beginning on Monday.

Based in Goldsboro, Wayne Stem serves students from five counties and is known for its exceptional academic learning environment and commitment to meeting each scholar at their individual learning level.

In just its first year of operation, WSA surpassed traditional public school academic performance benchmarks, demonstrating the effectiveness of its Direct Instruction Model.

With its progressive growth, Wayne STEM is expanding to serve Kindergarten through 5th grade students by the 2025-2026 academic year.

Parents of current Wayne STEM scholars do not need to reapply, as their enrollment is automatically reserved.

However, new families are encouraged to submit their applications promptly before the Open Enrollment period ends at 4 p.m. on Apr. 2.
