Wayne County Chamber of Commerce President Scott Satterfield announced on Monday that he will be stepping down at the end of February.

Satterfield announced his decision in an email that was sent out on Monday afternoon.

The email read:

It is with a full and thankful heart that I am announcing I will be stepping down from my role as President of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce effective February 28, 2025.

I am so thankful for all of the tremendous leaders in this community who have supported me from day one.

Thank you to Kate Daniels for helping ensure a seamless transition and for her great work that preceded my tenure.

I would like to thank our board in each of my three years of service for their leadership and guidance. I want to give a huge shoutout to the hundreds of volunteers that give their time, moving the needle in every sector of our
community.

Thank you to the members and sponsors for your commitment in making this Chamber the strongest platform in Wayne County. Additionally, a huge thank you to the teammates that I have had the privilege to work with in this great endeavor to shape the most pivotal voice for business I know.

They are tremendous professionals and the Chamber is in good hands moving forward.

Finally, thank you to my family for their sacrifice and support throughout the demanding days of this job. In many respects, I have asked too much of them in particular and I look forward to asking a little less in this next season.

Thank you is insufficient, but it will have to suffice.

I am also proud of the work that has been done over the last three years.

There are so many highlights but what I am most proud of are the relationships that have been built with our
members and stakeholders.

I look forward to supporting the success of the Chamber in the days ahead as a member and business owner.

I could not be more thrilled in anticipation of the future of all the great work that is to come. I will do all I can to continue to see that mission move forward. I will always be grateful for the rare opportunity that this role
afforded me.

I have learned so much about this great community and I can only say that I am fortunate to live and work here.
