On Jan. 17, officers with the Pikeville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.
During the stop, the driver was questioned about illegal narcotics in the vehicle, and ultimately a probable cause search was conducted.
Officers discovered a substance that tested positive for cocaine inside the vehicle.
The driver, Calvin Louis Ferebee, Goldsboro, was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Magistrate’s office where he received a secured bond.
Ferebee was charged with felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
