John Ellis Myers, 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Dudley,  Friday afternoon, January 24, 2025.

 He is survived by his wife, Debbie Myers, of the home; ; a daughter, Danna Owens and husband, Jermain, of Selma; step-sons,  David T. Gurley and wife, Nidia, of La Grange, and Michael Lee Gurley and fiance’, Shannon,of Dudley; grandchildren, Sarah and Samantha Gurley, Joseph Cenate, and Mackenzie Soto; his siblings, Kenneth Myers and wife, Janice, Sadie M. Potter, Erma M. Pate, and Charles Myers and wife, Linda.

John was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Josephine Martin Myers; and a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Myers.

A service to remember John’s life will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service.
