January 27, 2025, 63, Goldsboro —
William Michael Bradford, 63, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at UNC Health Wayne surrounded by his family.
Michael was born in Wayne County on January 18, 1962 to the late William Henry “Billy” Bradford and Doris Tripp Bradford. He was a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School (c/o 1980) and received his associates degree in Livestock and Poultry from Wayne Community College.
Michael had a passion for fast cars, guns, racing, and working on anything with a motor. He was what one call a “Mr. Fix It,” always willing to lend a helping hand or turn a wrench wherever needed. Michael was also quite the comedian. He always found new and interesting ways to entertain or prank those around him, leaving everyone with a roaring belly laugh and a tear in their eye. The most important thing to Michael was wife and children-his love for them was immeasurable.
Michael is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tonya Lee Bradford; his daughter, Courtney Marie Bradford of Goldsboro; his son, Austin Michael Bradford and fiancé, Ashely Nicole Jackson of Goldsboro; his mother and father-in-law, Memorie and Edwin Lee of Georgia; his brother-in-law, Troy Lee of Goldsboro; his sister, Teresa Bradford Crumpler of Goldsboro; and nephew, Derrick Wayne Crumpler of Goldsboro.
A service to honor Michael’s life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Stallings officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cures for the Colors, Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to the American Cancer Society.
Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
