Yuvonne Ezzell Dail

February 1, 2025, 70, La Grange —

May 16, 1954 – February 1, 2025

Yuvonne Ezzell Dail, 70, passed away early Saturday morning, February 1, 2025. Yuvonne was born in Wayne County to the late Leon Earl Ezzell Sr. and Betty Jean Rogers Ezzell on May 16, 1954. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Roy Lee Dail, Jr.; and a son, Robbie Earl Dail.

Working for around 30 years with Contract Flooring in Kinston, Yuvonne was a hard worker that was highly valued for her organizational and personal skills as the company’s office manager.

Outside of work, you never saw Yuvonne without her husband, Bobby, at her side. Meeting at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, the two made a commitment of marriage that lasted nearly 54 years. Though they dated for nearly a year, Yuvonne had made her decision and stated her claim just as soon as she laid eyes on Bobby. For her, it was truly love at first sight.

Strong willed, determined, and ever feisty, Yuvonne was able to handle any situation thrown at her. Though she never interfered with other’s business, she knew how to take control if necessary. Always looking her best, you never saw Yuvonne without well-manicured nails and her signature red lipstick.

With a great love of cats and dogs, many found a wonderful and caring home with Bobby and Yuvonne through the years.

A service of love and remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Rouse Funeral Home with Doug Ward officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 noon. Committal will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Yuvonne is survived by her husband, Bobby Dail; siblings, Doris Eubanks and husband, Darrell, Leon Ezzell, Jr. and wife, Sherri, and Steven Ezzell and wife, Nelda; mother-in-law, Grace Dail; brother-in-law, Doug Dail and wife, Catherine; special longtime friend, Wayne Hardison; and nieces and nephews, Nicole Nethercutt and children Bryson, Hudson, and Karrigan, Josh Eubanks (Brittany Wood) and children Devin and Caden, Keri Wood (Ethan) and children Grayson, Weston, and Adilyn; Christian Smith (Liset), Taylor Hembree (Anthony) and child Josephine “Joey”, Robbie Lucas Ezzell, and Gabe Ezzell.
