February 3, 2025, 63, Goldsboro —

Kenneth Philip “Phil” Timmons, age 63, of Goldsboro passed away in the early morning hour of February 3, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.  He was born in Wayne County to the late Kenneth Elton Timmons and Claudia Sutton Timmons.

Phil grew up loving a bike and a BB gun and roaming his grandma’s farm and woods. He loved to cook.  His Barbeque was the best.  He cooked a pot of chili that would have you wanting another bowl.  He was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School.  He loved to work and started working at the age of 16.  His first job was at Kemp Furniture. Phil’s true calling was the grocery store business.  No job was too big or small.  He loved his work and being part of a team.

Phil is survived by his only child and son, Kenneth Joseph Timmons; granddaughters, Hannah and  Lilly Timmons.  Sisters, Charlotte Timmons Boyette and husband Bob: Dawn Timmons Murray. His niece, Carly Boyette Warner, and nephew, Jeremy Murray. Also surviving is his dear friend, April Eubanks.

Phils family will have a time of visitation and signing of the register book on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home & Crematory.
