January 25, 2025, 80, Smithfield —

Lonnie Edwards Norris, 80, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Barbour Court Rehab and Nursing in Smithfield.  He was born October 10, 1944 to the late George Washington Norris and Ailee Jane McLamb Norris.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jean McLamb Norris; brothers, L. G. Norris, Ray Norris, and J. D. Norris and sister, Brenda Goodman.

Lonnie is survived by a son, Charles Edward “Chuck” Norris; brother, Johnny Norris of Erwin; sisters, Belle Beasley of Benson and Rachael Wood of Benson; and a granddaughter, Jordan Norris.

There will be no formal services at this time.
