Edward N. Cooper, 64, of Raleigh passed away on Monday at The Carrolton of Williamston, Williamston, NC.
Edward Nathaniel Cooper, affectionately known to friends and family as “Noot,” was born on November 5, 1960, in Greenville, North Carolina, to the loving union of Nathaniel and Molly Ann Cooper.
Noot was educated in the Pitt County School System, proudly graduating from G.R. Whitfield. His dedication to community and family was reflected in his active membership at Wells Chapel in Ayden, where he found a sense of belonging and fellowship.
A passionate pool player, Noot relished the camaraderie and competition of the game, often found around the table sharing laughter and stories with friends. He also had a deep love for classic Western films, often spending evenings engaged in the thrill of the Wild West.
Noot was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rachel Cooper, and his devoted parents, Nathaniel and Molly Cooper. He is survived by his cherished sister, Barbara Edward, and a host of nephews who loved him dearly: Elton Hardy Jr. of Raleigh, Kenneth Hardy of Greenville, and Christopher Hardy of Farmville, North Carolina. His legacy continues through his grandnephew, Elton Hardy III, and his grandnieces, Jasmine Hardy, Janiah Hardy, and Angel Barnes, and his cherished sister, Barbara Edward; and a host of other relatives and friends,
Edward “Noot” Cooper will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. As we celebrate his life, let us carry forth his legacy of love and laughter, honoring the joy he brought to our lives.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Phillippi Missionary Baptist Church, 2665 Virginia Street, Simpson, North Carolina 27530
