Rosemary Robinson Singleton, 74, of Luther Drive, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She was born on August 25, 1950, in Wayne County, she was the beloved daughter of Clarence and Mary Bell Foreman Robinson, Sr. 

Rosemary dedicated her life to education, serving as a cherished educator in the Wayne County Public Schools, where she inspired countless students and families. She was also a proud member of The Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., exemplifying her commitment to community service.

Her life’s devotion and service to God and mankind will be celebrated on Saturday at 12 Noon at St. James AME Zion Church, where family, friends, and loved ones will gather to honor her memory. Following the service, Rosemary’s mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.

Rosemary leaves behind cherished memories for her beloved husband, James Franklin Singleton; her daughters, Jearilyn Singleton and Tamisha Singleton Palmer; her lovely granddaughter, Hayden Rose Palmer; and a host of other loving relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

In honor of her dedication to community and sisterhood, the Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will hold an Omega Omega Service on Friday at 4:00 PM in the Rev Ernie Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Memorial Services, Inc. Please note that no entry will be permitted after the service begins. Following the service, Mrs. Singleton will lie in repose from 5 PM until 6:30 PM.
