SEVEN SPRINGS — The second consecutive day of searching for a missing Mount Olive man concluded on Sunday without resolution.
Local first responders and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Aviation Unit continued searching on Sunday for Antonio Hernandez Sanches, 23, who was last seen at his workplace, Mount Olive Pickle Company, on Thursday, at approximately 2:30 p.m.
According to Joel Gillie, Public Information Officer, for the County of Wayne, there were no updates on Sanches’s location, and the search will continue on Monday.
After Sanches was last seen on Thursday at Mount Olive Pickle Company, his vehicle was later found at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park, a location he routinely visits for fishing.
A coordinated search effort began on Saturday, involving multiple agencies, including the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Mount Olive Police Department, NC State Parks, Arr-Mac Water Response Team, and Seven Springs Fire Department.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Wayne County Office of Emergency Services at (919) 731-1493.
Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
