Carl Ross Dever, 87, of Goldsboro passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at his home.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
Mr. Dever was born in West Virginia on November 26, 1937 to the late Gilbert Boyce and Mable Blanche Wilson Dever. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #112 Wayne Lodge.
He is survived by his four sons, James Allen Dever (Danielle) of Goldsboro, Larry Carl Dever (Lydia) of Fayetteville, Barry Ross Dever (Lisa K.) of Florida and Timothy Michael Dever of Japan; one step-son, Carroll McGee Strickland Jr.; two step-daughters, Teva Justice of Kenly and Tammy Booth Goldsboro; one brother, Dana Dever; two sisters, Sue and Elsie and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Dean Lee-Dever; his step-son, Michael Todd Strickland; three brothers, and two sisters.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
