Thomas Earl Harper, 73, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born on February 1, 1952 in Wayne County, he was son to the late Afton Adrian Harper and Nellie Mae Mosley.

He was a gentle, loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Thomas is survived by his son, Joseph Harper and wife, Arielle, his grandsons, Hyrum Harper and Jasper Harper, his brothers, Keith Harper and Mike Harper; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ruth Adams Harper.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to honor Thomas’ life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1000 11th St in Goldsboro. Burial will conclude at the Thomas Ruffin Aycock Cemetery in Nahunta.
