February 15, 2025, 79, Pikeville —

Dock Randolph Phillips, 79, of Pikeville passed away on February 15, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.  He was born on October 20, 1945 to the late Ransom Phillips and Annie Bell Parnell Phillips.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mollie Ellen Baker, Marjorie Gray Luper, and Shirley Kay Toler.

Dock was a good provider for his family whom he loved more than anything.  

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hinnant Phillips; sons, Viking Phillips and wife, Kim of Holly Ridge, Jeffery Phillips and wife, Angie of Pikeville, Spencer Phillips and wife, Judy of Pikeville, Kevin Phillips and wife, Sheri of Goldsboro, and Jonathan Phillips of Pikeville; grandchildren, Bonnie, Jeffrey, Josh, Kristina, Kasey, Zipporah, Levi, and Silas; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Ray Phillips and Jimmy Earl Phillips of Princeton; sisters, Patricia Ann Hinnant of Princeton, Barbara Faye Strickland of Princeton, and Becky Marie Heath of Princeton.

Per Mr. Phillips request, there will be no formal services.  He also requested no flowers or memorials.
