Born and raised in Wayne County, Kenneth was a long-time employee of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company and also spent years as warehouse supervisor with Moorman Feed. After retirement he enjoyed traveling as a delivery driver with Jennings Transmission Service.
A lifelong Nascar fan, Kenneth looked forward to race days. Cheering on his favorite drivers in the company of friends and a good pizza was an afternoon well spent.
He was a self-taught musician and enjoyed times spent playing Bluegrass and traditional country music. He and his best picking buddies Ray, Jessie, and Herman often shared their talent entertaining at local rest homes, barn dances, and other venues. They are reunited today playing in a heavenly band.
The joy he found in his music came second only to the love he felt for his family. Kenneth was happiest in the loving company of his children and grandchildren. His memory will be cherished by each of them.
Kenneth’s children would like to express their appreciation to the medical professionals at Wayne UNC Hospital, especially the seventh-floor team, for their compassionate and dignified care of Kenneth during his illness. We are forever grateful.
Family and friends will gather in remembrance on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of Providence Church, 202 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his memory to the Wayne Memorial Hospital Foundation, 2700 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro 27534 or your local animal shelter.
