On Friday, at approximately 5:22 p.m., the Goldsboro Police Department responded to Goldsboro Bingo World, 1809 N. Berkeley Boulevar, for reports of gunfire and a shooting.

Officers located a male victim, identified as Quandre Weeks, 32, Goldsboro, who was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second victim, Icshon Zaquan Jones, 43, Goldsboro later arrived at UNC Health Wayne, by personal vehicle with gunshot wounds.

Jones was airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center for further treatment.

Jones’ condition is currently listed as critical. 

The incident stemmed from an altercation between the two victims. 

This was an isolated incident between the two victims, and there is no current threat to the public. 

Investigations and the Crime Scene Unit was contacted and responded. 

The investigation remains active.
