Local Travel Agent Chosen to Participate in Future Leaders in Travel

TravelAge West has announced that Wayne County-based travel advisor Mallory Dumond has been selected once again to participate in Future Leaders in Travel, this time as a Guide for the 2025 event.

This is a tremendous honor, as Guides are a very select group of individuals who are chosen based on their accomplishments, dedication to the industry, and active participation in the previous year’s event.

Future Leaders in Travel is a three-and-a-half-day event that brings together the next generation of travel advisors and suppliers through one-on-one business appointments, collaborative content sessions, an outdoor activity, and immersive networking events.

Future Leaders is designed to provide attendees with new ideas for conducting business and building professional relationships that will last a lifetime.

This year’s event will take place in Anchorage, Alaska from Sept. 21-24.

To qualify as an advisor participant, individuals must be between the ages of 22 and 40, be a full-time seller of travel, have a passion for professionalism, show enthusiasm for impacting the future of travel, and be inspired to find new and better ways to sell travel.

Only a select few advisors were chosen to participate as Guides from the group of 2024 attendees. Those selected are responsible for helping first-time attendees navigate the event, encourage lasting connections, and get the most out of Future Leaders in Travel.

Guides also assist in the educational portion of the event, whether that be a workshop facilitator, panelist, or moderator.

“It is truly a massive honor to be a Guide for this event- an event that changed the way I lead my business and serve. I’m looking forward to connecting with attendees and giving back to them some of the meaningful things that helped me the most,” said Dumond.

At Future Leaders, advisors and suppliers discuss tactics to move the industry forward, work to chart their paths to further success and form unique bonds outside of the typical conference environment.

“Our 2025 Guides represent what the Future Leaders event is all about—drive, ambition and especially community,” said Jacqueline Hurst, Director, Trade Recruitment and Engagement, Events, Northstar Travel Group. “The amount of collaboration that takes place on site and afterwards is truly inspiring. And this group of Guides will lead the way with the passion and commitment they have already shown. It’s good to know the travel industry is in such good hands with our young leaders.”
