Celanie Jeune

February 26, 2025, 89, Goldsboro —

Today, we gather not only to mourn the loss of Celanie Jeune but to celebrate the incredible life she lived and the lasting impact she had on everyone around her.

Celanie was a woman of boundless love and unwavering kindness. Born with a generous heart, she dedicated her life to helping others, always finding joy in lifting those around her. She was a proud Haitian-American, deeply rooted in her faith, and she carried an unshakable positivity that inspired everyone she met. Even in difficult times, she saw the light, teaching her children and grandchildren to hold on to hope and believe in better days.

She was the beloved mother of three children: Roger Gaby, Kerby Gaby, and Marie Maude Gaby. Her love extended to her eight grandchildren: Christina Gaby, Samuel Gaby, David Gaby, Jimmy Gaby, Genese Gaby, Christy Milius, Herby Gaby, and Sagine Gaby, each of whom she cherished deeply.

Family was everything to Celanie. She shared a special bond with her only brother, Eugene Jeune, and held a motherly love for his children: Sherly Boulay, Rooby Jeune, Tamare Jeune, Patrick Jeune, Avens Jeune, and Sheila Jeune.

Celanie’s life was filled with simple joys — she found happiness in cooking delicious meals for her family, watching her favorite TV shows like Tonton Dezirab and Bri Sapat, and sharing stories of her youth that filled the room with laughter. She had a passion for selling goods, not just as a business but as a way to connect with her community.

She was a guiding light for her family, always encouraging them to pursue success and stay united. Her words of wisdom, her contagious laugh, and her unwavering belief in her loved ones will echo in their hearts forever. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit lives on, watching over her family and continuing to guide them with the same love and strength she always did.

Celanie Jeune will never be forgotten. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the power of faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine through every life she touched.

Rest in peace, dear Celanie. You will always be with us, in our memories, in our hearts, and in the love we share as a family.

A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 10 AM at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel.
